Honors Program Council

The Phi Theta Kappa Honors Program Council is responsible for making recommendations to Headquarters staff about the new Honors Study Topic every two years and for assisting with the compilation of the Honors Program Guide. Made up of Phi Theta Kappa advisors, Headquarters staff and consultants, the Honors Program Council is selected for its broad knowledge of the Honors Study Topic and Phi Theta Kappa's integrated approach to the Hallmarks as well as its balance in academic disciplines.


Apply to Serve on the Honors Program Council

Phi Theta Kappa is currently accepting applications for four representatives on the Honors Program Council. Representatives are being sought for the following disciplines. Completed applications must be received at Headquarters by Friday, May 2 at 5:00 pm CDT.

  • Leadership Development Representative, Apply Now
  • Service Learning Representative, Apply Now
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) Representatives (2), Apply Now

Selected applicants will notified by Thursday, June 12, 2014, and will begin their terms of service with the 2014 Honors Program Council meeting, which is scheduled for July 28 – August 1 at the Center for Excellence in Jackson. Tenures for these positions will end after the 2018 Honors Institute.
