8 May Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Recognized Tweet May 8, 2017 Press Room PTK Catalyst, Alumni 0 Alumni awards for individuals and chapters were presented at PTK Catalyst 2017, Phi Theta Kappa’s annual convention in Nashville, Tennessee, April 6-8. Dr. Jacob Farbman, an alumnus of the Alpha Pi Omega Chapter at Salem Community College who currently serves as Director of Communications for the New Jersey Council of County Colleges, received the Board of Directors Alumni Achievement Award. Dr. E. Ann McGee, alumna of the Eta Nu Chapter at St. Petersburg College and President of Seminole State College in Florida, was named Phi Theta Kappa’s Distinguished Alumna for 2017. Alumni Association Awards recognize alumni associations that have been exemplary in the support of Phi Theta Kappa and its members. The 2017 winners are: Alumni Association Award of Merit This award honors an alumni association that has been exemplary in providing support for two-year chapters. Alpha Gamma Pi Alumni Association Austin Community College Texas Outstanding Regional Alumni Association Award The Outstanding Regional Alumni Association Award recognizes a regionally based alumni association that has been exemplary in the support of Phi Theta Kappa and its members. Middle States Regional Alumni Association Outstanding University-Based Alumni Association Award The Outstanding University-Based Alumni Association Award recognizes an alumni association on a four-year college campus that has been exemplary in the support of Phi Theta Kappa and its members. Athens State University Alumni Association Alabama Outstanding Community-Based Alumni Association Award The Outstanding Community-Based Alumni Association Award recognizes an alumni association within a community, chapter, or college system that has been exemplary in the support of Phi Theta Kappa and its members. Alpha Nu Omega Alumni Association Harrisburg Area Community College Pennsylvania The Alumni Awards of Appreciation provide recognition to Phi Theta Kappa alumni who support the current and future members of the Society.
