UD is located in Newark, about halfway between New York City and Washington, DC. Some fast facts about the school: The college is home to America’s first study abroad program. More than 30 percent of UD students study abroad each year, and there are more than 100 study abroad programs in 40-plus countries. UD students spent 250,000 hours serving the community. UD was named on Kiplinger’s 2015 list of Best Values in Public Colleges. UD’s Physical Therapy graduate program is No. 1 in the country. 95 percent of bachelor’s degree graduates are employed or pursuing further education. Tell us about your college’s new transfer scholarship for members of Phi Theta Kappa. Phi Theta Kappa scholarships are available to members who have completed 30-plus credits and have maintained a 3.5 or higher GPA. Scholarships are non-need based and valued at $2,000 per year for Delaware residents and $6,000 per year for non-Delaware residents. What other opportunities are available for transfer students at your institution to assist them in successfully transitioning from community college? The University of Delaware offers separate dates for new fall semester transfers during the summer New Student Orientation. There is also an on-campus, living-learning community for about 150 new transfers each fall.
