Two All-State Teams Announced This Week

Students named to the 2008 All-State Academic Teams in Pennsylvania and North Dakota are announced this week. All-State Academic Team programs are currently administered in 35 states. Team selection is based on the nominations submitted for the All-USA Academic Team, an international competition co-sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa, USA TODAY and the American Association of Community Colleges. Rankings on the All-State Teams are determined by the rankings in the international competition. All-State Team Recognition Programs are generally held in the state capitals, and attended by education and business leaders and state legislators. All-State Team members receive media recognition, medallions and certificates, and in many states, scholarships and stipends.
