20 Members Named Guistwhite Scholars for 2008
Twenty outstanding Phi Theta Kappa members have been named Guistwhite
Scholars for 2008. They each receive scholarships of $5,000 to
fund baccalaureate studies. Guistwhite Scholars are selected on the basis
of academic excellence and participation in Phi Theta Kappa programs.
Guistwhite Scholars for 2008 will also be recognized at Phi Theta Kappa's
2008 International Convention. The scholarship program is named in honor
of Dr. Jack Guistwhite and his wife, Margaret Guistwhite. Dr. Guistwhite
established the first transfer scholarship for Phi Theta Kappa members
while serving as an administrator at Florida Atlantic University, in 1975.
Applications for 2008 Guistwhite Scholarships will be available in the
fall.
