Distinguished Alumnus Award Presented to Sadberry

The late Anthony J. "Tony" Sadberry, Phi Theta Kappa's first African American National Officer and a former member of the Board of Directors, was honored with Phi Theta Kappa's 2009 Distinguished Alumnus Award. Sadberry died in late 2008. He was a founding Trustee of the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation and was Executive Director of the Texas Lottery Commission at the time of his death.
