Advisor Electronic Mailing List
In an effort to create a venue in which Phi Theta Kappa advisors can talk with other advisors, the Society has created the Advisor Electronic Mailing List (EML). Now advisors can gain perspective and advice, form friendships and bonds, ask questions, gain knowledge and learn what positive things other chapters are doing.
The Advisor EML allows advisors to communicate with each other -- ask questions, read responses, or just chat via e-mail.
Signing up for the Advisor EML is very easy:
» To subscribe to the Advisor EML, send an empty e-mail to the appropriate address(es) (find the addresses below) from the account/address you wish to subscribe. You will then receive a confirmation request. In most cases, all that is required is to simply reply to the confirmation request.
After the confirmation process is complete, you will receive a welcome message to the list. At that point, you will be able to read or post to the list.
» To participate in the Advisor EML, send e-mails to the appropriate address(es) (find the addresses below) from the account/address under which you are subscribed to the list.
If you wish to reply to a message sent to the list, BE SURE your reply is sent to the participation address. This will ensure it is sent to ALL members of the list and not just the individual reply.
» If you'd like help using the Advisor EML, send an e-mail with an empty subject line and message body to the appropriate address(es) (find the addresses below) from the account/address you used to originally subscribe to the Advisor EML. The list server will reply with a help file on the Advisor EML.
» If you'd like to unsubscribe from the Advisor EML, simply send an empty e-mail to the address(es) (find the addresses below) from the account/address you wish to unsubscribe. You will then receive a confirmation request. In most cases, all that is required is to simply reply to the confirmation request.
After the confirmation process is complete, you will receive a message confirming you were removed from the list.
