Jeff Edwards is a professor of Economics at Cy-Fair College and Holmes Community College. He has been recognized by the Minnie Stevens Piper Foundation as a 2007 Piper Professor and four-time grantee from the National Endowment for the Humanities to participate in summer Landmarks of History workshops. Edwards has served as Phi Theta Kappa advisor for four years. He received the Paragon Award for New Advisors in 2006, served as an officer of the Texas Regional Advisor Board and as a 2005 Faculty Scholar, and is a member of the Texas Hall of Honor for Advisors. His chapter was recognized as our Society's 2006 Most Distinguished Chapter and 2007 First Runner-Up to the Most Distinguished Chapter.

Edwards's award-winning project is "Touring History: Tracing the Evolution of Political Economy in Scotland, England, and France." Edwards will travel to and conduct research in Edinburg, Glasgow, London, and Lyons at sites associated with the founders of political economy, including Adam Smith, Jean Baptiste Say, David Ricardo, Thomas Robert Malthus, James Mill, John Stuart Mill, and Jeremy Bentham.
