2009 Honors Institute Scheduled June 22-26
Phi Theta Kappa's 2009 Honors
Institute will be held June 22-26 at the University of Richmond
in Virginia.
Registration information and a downloadable
registration form are available now on the Honors
Institute website.
Phi Theta Kappa's Honors Institute
has been called the Society's "crown jewel," and the "ultimate honors program
experience." Members and advisors gather for a week-long immersion into
the Society's Honors
Study Topic, The Paradox of Affluence: Choices, Challenges,
and Consequences.
Honors Institute attendees will also
learn more about Honors
in Action, which incorporates Phi Theta Kappa's Hallmarks of
Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship into issues related
to the Honors Study Topic. Following substantive research, members and
chapters develop goals and Honors
in Action activities that require using leadership to make a positive
difference through service.
Speaker presentations are followed
by small-group seminar discussions, led by Phi Theta Kappa's Faculty
Scholars.
A tentative schedule, more about what registration
fees cover, travel information and details about R&R Day are also included
on the Honors
Institute website.

information and more, coming soon!
