Society's New Web-based Transfer Program Featured in Community College Association's Publication

CollegeFish.org, Phi Theta Kappa's interactive web-based program designed to help community colleges students planning to transfer, was recently featured in the American Association of Community Colleges publication, the Community College Times.

Phi Theta Kappa Executive Director Rod Risley officially unveiled CollegeFish.org to more than 3,800 delegates at the Society's 89th annual International Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.

Aimed at smoothing the transition from a two-year college to a four-year, the program gives community college students the opportunity to explore more than 2,000 profiles on senior colleges and to navigate the transfer process.

CollegeFish.org will be comprised of two major components - TransferFish for planning completion of baccalaureate degree, and CareerFish for aiding career planning.

Currently Phi Theta Kappa members can log onto CollegeFish.org to build individual profiles in the TransferFish database. After the initial version of TransferFish is officially released, members will have 24/7 access the moment they enroll in their first class. TransferFish is scheduled to be launched in fall of 2007.
