Report Officers and Receive Phi Theta Kappa Week Rewards
Would your chapter like to win scholarships for membership fees? A complimentary
registration to the Officer Leadership Academy? Or a free subscription
to the 2009 Honors Seminar Series? Those prizes and more will be offered
during Phi
Theta Kappa Week, November 17-21.
Chapters and chapter
officers can both win prizes. To be eligible, chapter officer information
must be verified between October 24 and Phi Theta Kappa Week.
If
chapter officers have been previously reported and no updating is necessary,
advisors should verify information by emails to either Tammy
Harvey or Melissa
Jordan of the Phi Theta Kappa Headquarters staff.
Chapter
advisors who have not yet reported their chapter officers should provide
this information through PAM
to be eligible for chapter prizes.
Chapter officers must be
reported to be eligible to win prizes, and must also fulfill one of two other
requirements:
1. Officers may either complete their
CollegeFish.org profile
and update their profiles before or during Phi Theta Kappa Week; or
2.
Officers may post a Phi Theta Kappa Week activity to the Phi Theta Kappa FaceBook
page. The activity should promote membership acceptance or Honors
in Action.
Drawings to determine winners will be held
daily during Phi Theta Kappa Week.
During Phi Theta Kappa Week,
chapters and officers must complete their updates by midnight to be eligible
for the following day's Phi Theta Kappa Week prizes. Each day's prizes include:
Monday,
November 17: Chapter
Officer polo shirts will be given away to five chapter officers.
(Enter by midnight November 16.)
Tuesday, November 18: Operation
Green t-shirts will be presented to 10 chapter officers. (Enter

prizes are also available. Advisors who report or verify their officers
will earn the opportunity for their chapter or chapter officers to purchase
officer
medallions and pins from Recognitions at a 20 percent discount.
A discount code will be sent to eligible advisors during Phi Theta Kappa
Week.

of appreciation.
Phi Theta Kappa was founded at Stephens College
in Missouri in 1918, by college presidents. Founders Day, observed on November
19, commemorates the official recognition of Phi Theta Kappa by the American
Association of Community Colleges, in 1929.
