2007 Nota Bene Authors Named
Literary works from 20 Phi Theta Kappa members have been chosen for publication
in the 2007 edition of Nota Bene, the Society's literary honors
anthology.
Nota Bene was founded in 1994 to showcase
good writing among community college students. Copies of Nota Bene
are distributed to all community college libraries and to Phi Theta Kappa
leaders.
"Since 1994 Phi Theta Kappa has recognized excellence
in writing among community college students through Nota Bene,
our internationally-circulated literary honors anthology," said Society
Executive Director Rod A. Risley, Founding Editor. "In a world emphasizing
accelerated electronic communication, I feel it is even more crucial that
we continue to carry the banner for clarity and creativity in writing, and
for outstanding research. We are pleased to honor this year's Nota Bene
authors, and extend our sincere congratulations to these students and
their colleges."
