Chartering Resources
Headquarters
Phi Theta Kappa's staff takes pride in providing
exemplary service to students, members, advisors, alumni, and all other
Society constituents. During the chartering phases, your chapter will
have one contact working directly with the development of your chapter.
After the chartering phases have been complete, visit the Headquarters
Staff
Directory to view a list of current staff.
Chartering
Website
One of the most used resources is the chartering website.
The chartering section of the website highlights current chartered chapters,
provides downloadable forms, and explains each chartering phase in detail.
Personal
Assistant Manager (PAM)
PAM
is your virtual assistant. It is a web-based management tool that provides
assistance in reporting members and accomplishing the goals and tasks
you have set for your chapter.
Chapter Resource Manual
Resource
manuals are provided to chapter advisors and presidents after they have
been reported. The Chapter Resource Manual is now also available online
and contains information on chapter building, role of officers, fundraising
and Society programs.
Chapter Resource DVD
The
Chapter Resource DVD is ideal in helping your chapter conduct orientations
for prospective members. The DVD features the New Member Recruitment Video
and New Member Orientation Slide Presentation.
Regional
Coordinator
Phi Theta Kappa is structured into 29 regions.
A Regional Coordinator, a voluntary instructor, supports each region.
Throughout the chartering process your Regional Coordinator will be in
contact with your chapter to provide guidance and support at the regional
level.
Membership Benefits Brochures
Your chapter
should request a
number of brochures to be sent out to all eligible members. The brochures
provide an overview of Phi Theta Kappa benefits, scholarships, and opportunities.
Membership
Benefits and Scholarship Guides
After members have been reported
each one receives a packet containing a Membership Benefits and Scholarship
Guide. Chartering chapters also receive these guides to display at the
orientation. The guides provide additional details about benefits and
scholarships.
Good as Gold Posters
Sets of posters are provided
during the orientation phase to place around your campus so all eligible
students learn about Phi Theta Kappa. The posters highlight the three major
benefits: scholarship, recognition, and opportunities.
Good
as Gold Balloons
Balloons
are sent to all chartering chapters during the orientation phase to place
around your campus so all eligible students are aware of Phi Theta Kappa.
