Welcome to the Phi Theta Kappa Career Resource Center Website. We are excited to be able to provide Phi Theta Kappa members this innovative tool to assist those students considering career choices, job searches or career tips. It is our fervent hope that Society members will utilize this site throughout their college career, but especially when the time comes for making those all-important career path decisions.
From this new Career Resource Center site, students will be able to conduct job searches for positions throughout the USA. Feature articles will originate from all areas of the internet and will allow reader response and commentary. Examples of feature articles may include tips on writing eye-catching resumes and winning cover letters, or articles on how to prepare for that crucial interview and what questions to ask potential employers.
Convention goers can access the Career Resource Center to check out which exhibitors will be attending, so they can be prepared for intelligent discussions regarding possible careers within those industries. Members attending Convention should also check out the great lineup of speakers who will present Educational Forums on compelling topics guaranteed to enhance their job search.
Links on the Career Resource Center site will direct members to Phi Theta Kappa partners who offer important benefits and services to members and their families. For instance, the link, monsterTRAK.com features targeted job listings and a resume database for Phi Theta Kappa students and alumni. The link, womenforhire.com offers members a networking website, newsletters and a free monthly conference call with career experts.
Another link from the Career Resource Center website provides members with Letters of Recommendation from Executive Director, Rod A. Risley. These letters are an important part of a member’s resume package and demonstrate to potential employers a continual commitment to excellence as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
The Career Resource Center Website is yet another benefit we offer our esteemed members, providing an abundance of up-to-date information and access to important resources.
