Steven Hassenplug

Steven Hassenplug is Phi Theta Kappa's 2005-06 International Vice President-Division III. Steven was inducted into the Eta Gamma Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas.

He is a biological science major who will study pre-medicine. Steven's career goals are to someday become either an anesthesiologist or a pediatrician.

As 2004-05 Eta Gamma Chapter President, Steven led efforts to implement such initiatives as Voice Your Vote and Project Graduation. The chapter participated in an Honors Study Topic "Field Trip," supported Hope Lodge as part of the International Service Program implementation, and also collected funds for Florida hurricane relief.

Other chapter service initiatives included "Trick or Treat so Kids Can Eat," Habitat for Humanity and the March of Dimes.

Steven has also participated in the Biopharmaceutical Technology Center's 3rd Annual International Bioethics Forum, the Cedar Bluff Leadership Challenge Course and the 2004 Kansas Student Leadership Forum. He was part of a delegation from Coffeyville Community College that attended the Inauguration of President George W. Bush.
