Delta Omicron Chapter
Palm Beach Community College
Lake Worth, Florida

I am currently a new member of Phi Theta Kappa and so far this honor society has contributed to many positive influences in my life. I was a skeptic at first, thinking the only good reason to join was for scholarship opportunities, but as my membership progressed, so did my friendships and community contributions. I realized that Phi Theta Kappa has so much more to offer than just scholarships. I have met so many unique individuals who, like me, share common “ups and downs” of everyday life.  After every event, I feel as though I have made a difference in someone’s life, no matter how small the deed was. The Executive Board, our chapter leaders, is made up of amazing individuals who have truly changed my perspective on giving back to others. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a prestigious honor society. For once in my life I feel as though I belong to something important and that I am making a difference in my life for the greater good.
