Nine years ago, I was a high-school dropout, and there was no way I could know that today I would be a Phi Theta Kappa member and pursuing a human rights and global justice degree. Since I became a Phi Theta Kappa member I have been elected to the Faculty Review Board for LaGuardia Community College; elected Student Advisory Council Liaison for Phi Theta Kappa and chosen to participate in the New York State Senate Model.
