Hallmark Awards Changes for 2011The 2011 Hallmark Awards competition (based on activities completed January-December 2010) will have new categories that better reflect Honors in Action. This integrated approach to chapter programming encourages chapters to use the Honors Study Topic as their foundation to incorporate all four Hallmarks – Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship – into their projects. The current Scholarship, Leadership and Service Hallmark Awards categories will be replaced with an Honors in Action Project Award AND a College Project Award. The Honors in Action Award will allow chapters to report on ONE in-depth Honors in Action Project based on an issue from the current Honors Program Guide, The Democratization of Information: Power, Peril and Promise. The College Project Award will give greater emphasis to the Five Star Chapter Development Plan by allowing chapters to submit entries based on the College Project required at the Three Star Level. More information on these new chapter awards is provided below. |
