The focus of the senior institution-oriented alumni association is to provide programs and materials designed to ease members’ transfer from the two-year college to the senior institution. Phi Theta Kappa members transferring to the senior institution find, through the alumni association, a ready-made “family” or circle of acquaintances to begin their lives at the senior institution. These alumni associations serve to aid the assimilation of transfer students within the senior institution environment.
