Residence Halls

All Honors Institute participants will be housed in the apartments at the Towers at Centennial Square. Double-occupancy room accommodations will be provided for all attendees. The apartment consists of two bedrooms, a bathroom, closet space, kitchen area, dining room, and living room.

Two bedrooms are shared by four people. Each bedroom contains two single twin beds, two desks, two dressers, and closet space. The living area contains couches and a window, and the dining area has a table and chairs. View the layout of the apartments at the Towers at Centennial Square.

Note: Apartments are accessed via room keys. Bedrooms doors within the apartment only lock from inside the bedroom.

The bedrooms will be furnished with bed linen, a blanket, mattress pad, coverlet, pillow and pillowcase, bath towels, and soap.

Institute participants may wish to bring additional towels, an alarm clock, clothes hangers, a hair dryer, travel iron, umbrella, and a bedside lamp.

Room assignments made by the college are based on requests, classification, age, and gender. Specific roommate requests should be included on the Honors Institute Registration Form.

Every effort is made to house advisors and students separately, but in some instances this will not be possible due to the necessity of accommodating the needs of all attendees, including special requests from students and advisors with disabilities. If you need first floor accommodations or a wheelchair accessible room, this information should be included on your Honors Institute Registration Form.

Conference Cards and Room Keys

Conference cards and room keys will be provided to all Honors Institute attendees. Conference cards allow entry into the residence hall and serve as your meal card. Room keys allow entry into each apartment. Bedroom doors within each apartment only lock inside the bedroom. It is important that each person issued conference cards and room keys retain possession of them throughout their stay. A $50 charge will be assessed for any lost conference cards or room keys during the week. Lost are inactive building conference cards should be reported to the front desk in the Towers at Centennial Square.

Internet

Wired internet access will be available in the apartments in the Towers at Centennial Square. Be sure to bring your laptop, Ethernet cord, and power cord as these items will not be provided. A computer lab on campus will not be available for use.

Linen Service

The College provides bed linen, a blanket, mattress pad, coverlet, pillow and pillowcase, bath towels, and soap. The College does not provide cleaning service in the apartments during your stay. If you need to exchange your linen during the week, contact the front desk in the Towers at Centennial Square.

Laundry Facilities

A laundry room equipped with coin-operated washers and dryers are available in the entry level of the Towers at Centennial Square. Laundry detergent and dryer softener sheets will not be provided.

Television

Television service is not provided in the residence hall rooms. There is a television in the Mary Park Hall Lounge which is accessible by your conference cards. The lounge is available unless reserved for specific times.
