Traveling to/from the Airport
Participants arriving at Richmond International Airport (RIC) should contact Groome Transportation to schedule airport pick-ups and returns. The fee is $31.75 one way, per person and $69 roundtrip. For each additional person, the fee goes down. For two people, the fee is $35.25 one way. For three people, the fee is $38.50 one way. For 4 or more people, the fee is $12.25 one way per person.
The transportation service should drop you off at the University of Richmond on Crenshaw Way at the Modlin Center for the Arts entrance. The University will provide signage to help you find your way. Be sure to have directions and a map of the college on hand. The transportation service should know the campus location, but some drivers may not.
Directions from RIC:
- I-95 N toward Washington
- Take exit 79
- Stay left to merge onto I-195 S - the Downtown Expressway
- Continue on I-195 S for approximately two miles
- Take the Cary St./VA-147 exit
- Bear right on the ramp to turn right onto Cary St.
- Continue straight on Cary St. for approximately two miles and pass the intersection of Three Chopt Rd.
- At the bottom of the hill, bear right at the intersection onto River Rd.
- Continue straight for approximately .75 mile and make the second right onto College Rd.
- Make a right turn just past the Jepson Alumni Center into the Westhampton Gates on Westhampton Way
- Take the first right onto Crenshaw Way and follow the road until it ends at the Modlin Center for the Arts. You will see a bronze art sculpture.
- Walk through the 4 wood doors and exit on the other side.
- Follow the signs for Booker Hall of Music/Camp Concert Hall
- Housing and conference registration is located in the lobby of the Camp Concert Hall at the Modlin Center for the Arts
If you are planning to use a transportation service to return to the airport on Saturday, June 27, be sure to contact the service provider directly for advance reservations prior to Saturday. Taxis/shuttles will not be easily accessible on campus.

Taxi Service:
From the Richmond International Airport (RIC), the estimated taxi fare is approximately $45-50 one way. We recommend you contact Groome Transportation to schedule your arrival from/to the airport.
Bus Service:
Bus service is available from the airport, but is not and ideal option. There are multiple buses at multiple locations to utilize before arriving at the university. We recommend you schedule transportation prior to arriving at the airport.
Automobile:
If arriving on campus via automobile, parking is available in the Modlin Center for the Arts lot off Crenshaw Way. No fees are charged for parking, but you will need to obtain a parking pass during registration.
