Traveling to/from the Airport

Participants arriving by shuttle or taxi should be dropped off at 800 Font Blvd. on the San Francisco State University campus. Follow the signs for housing registration which will take place in the Towers at Centennial Square. Following your housing registration, drop your luggage off in your room and proceed to Seven Hills Conference Center’s Nob Hill Room to register for the Honors Institute.

If arriving via shuttle or taxi, be sure to have this information and a map of the college on hand. The shuttle service below should know the campus location, but taxi drivers may not.

If you are planning to use a shuttle or taxi service to return to the airport on Saturday, June 21, be sure to contact the service provider directly for advance reservations prior to Saturday. Taxis and/or shuttles will not be easily accessible on campus.

Shuttle Service:

American Airporter Shuttle is offering shuttle service to San Francisco State University for participants arriving at the San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The fee is $17 one way, per person and $34 roundtrip. Each additional person is $10 one way. If your group has 9 or more people, ask about the van service for $99.

Taxi Service:

From the San Francisco International Airport (SFO), the estimated taxi fare is approximately $30 - $40. Click here for a list of taxi services.

Rental Car:

Avis Rent A Car Systems, Inc. is offering discounted prices on rental cars for the 2008 International Leadership Conference & Honors Institute.  Discounted daily and weekly rates will be available June 9 – June 27, 2008.

Automobile:

If arriving on campus via automobile, parking is available in the lot 20 parking garage on State Drive. The fees are $1 per hour with a $5 maximum per day. Pay stations will accept quarters, $1, $5 and $10 bills as well as prepaid debit cards. $20 and $50 prepaid debit cards are available at the Bursur’s Office in the Administration building and at the One Stop Shop in the Student Service Building.

Note: Level 4i Orange to 4n Orange and the roof level is restricted to staff and faculty between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday - Friday.
