2002 International Honorary Members Announced

Dr. Mary Anne Player and Mr. Bob Dubill were recently recognized as the 2002 International Honorary Members of Phi Theta Kappa in recognition of their outstanding service to the Society. Dr. Player, who recently retired as a longtime advisor and Regional Coordinator in Illinois, established the Society's Annual Orlowski Scholarship and also served as the charter advisor of Alpha of Illinois, the Society's first community-based alumni chapter. Bob Dubill is Executive Editor of USA TODAY and was instrumental in establishing the All-USA Academic Team for Community Colleges in 1990. Since then, USA TODAY has contributed more than $500,000 in cash awards for First Team members, and has devoted extensive coverage to all Team members and their respective colleges.
