2008-2009 International Officers Elected in Philadelphia
Phi Theta Kappa's 2008-2009 International Officers were elected at the recent International Convention in Philadelphia. The new officer team includes John Windham, Pima Community College in Arizona, International President; Kerry Cutler, Trident Technical College in South Carolina, International Vice President - Division I; Maggie Webster, Jefferson State Community College, Shelby Campus, in Alabama, International Vice President - Division II; Shamil Mirzoev, Rochester Community and Technical College, Minnesota, International Vice President - Division III; and Dee Lauzon, Lane Community College, Oregon, International Vice President - Division IV. Kerry Cutler was chosen by her fellow candidates to receive the Orlowski Award, presented to the candidate who demonstrates the ability to place the spirit of Phi Theta Kappa above personal ambition. Twenty members were candidates in 2008. Holding International Office is the pinnacle of student leadership in Phi Theta Kappa.
