Honors in Action: Kentucky Chapter Hosts Movie Screening

The Phi Theta Kappa chapter at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College are hosting an Honors in Action event April 22, titled Operation Green: Creating a Dialogue. Following a showing of An Inconvenient Truth, the audience will be invited to a question and answer session featuring expert panelists representing diverse viewpoints. Panel members include Physical Sciences Professor Sue Ballard and Economics Professor Khondaker Haque from the college; Vince Heuser of Nolin Rural Electric, a local public utility; and Kentucky State legislator Rep. Tim Moore. Honors in Action activities integrate the Hallmarks of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship into programs focusing on the newly announced Honors Study Topic, The Paradox of Affluence: Choices, Challenges and Consequences.
