Phi Theta Kappa Foundation Tax-Exempt Status Approved
Phi Theta Kappa has received notification from the Internal Revenue Service
that the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation has been approved as a public charity,
allowing the Foundation to receive tax-deductible gifts. All donations
to Phi Theta Kappa will now be handled by the Foundation. "This non-profit
status now expands the opportunity for Phi Theta Kappa to tap funds from
foundations across the country," said Phi Theta Kappa Executive Director
Rod Risley, who pointed out that many foundations only provide funds to
a foundation rather than an organization. Dr. Nancy Rieves serves as Executive
Director of the Phi Theta
Kappa Foundation.
