Chapter Strikes Gold by Promoting Benefits, Scholarships

At Florida College, the secret to enhancing membership acceptance is creating a culture that values membership and participation, said Phi Theta Kappa chapter advisor Mark Bingham. The chapter has earned its second consecutive Pinnacle Gold Award in Phi Theta Kappa's Pinnacle Scholarship Award Program. Students especially appreciate the recognition Phi Theta Kappa members receive at graduation and the opportunities to apply for transfer scholarships available exclusively to Society members. Bingham says the chapter will use the $100 Pinnacle Gold Award to assist students with membership fees if the need arises, and to defray travel expenses for attending a regional meeting. Enroll your chapter in the Pinnacle Scholarship Award Program and make sure that all eligible students understand the benefits of membership.
