Keep America Beautiful Awards Competition Opens
Phi Theta Kappa chapters are invited to enter the National Awards competition sponsored by Keep America Beautiful, Phi Theta Kappa's partner in the International Service Program, Operation Green: Improving Our Communities. Award entries should focus on efforts in the areas of litter prevention, beautification and waste reduction, which took place from June 2007-June 2008. Complete information is available on Keep America Beautiful's website. The entry deadline is September 15. Winning first place awards in 2007 were chapters from Tidewater Community College, Thomas W. Moss Campus, in Virginia; Hinds Community College, Raymond Campus, in Mississippi; and Danville Area Community College, Illinois.
