South Carolina Member Elected to Alumni Advisory Council Position Pepe Zerda, who became a member of Phi Theta Kappa at Trident Technical College in Charleston, South Carolina, has been elected to serve a one-year position on the Society's Alumni Advisory Council. The Alumni Advisory Council provides advice and assistance on alumni issues and concerns to the Society's Board of Directors and the International Headquarters staff. Zerda, elected by Society alumni attending the recent International Convention in Orlando, Florida, was one of 11 candidates for the Council position. A past chapter and regional officer, Zerda received a Bierkoe Distinguished Member Award and was named a Guistwhite Finalist while attending community college. She currently attends the College of Charleston, is majoring in communication studies and is a member of the Gamma of South Carolina alumni chapter.
