Alumna Trisha Yearwood's New Release Is Food-Focused
Phi Theta Kappa alumna and Grammy-winner Trisha Yearwood has a new release topping the charts - but it's not music. Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen: Recipes from My Family to Yours has made the New York Times best-seller list. Yearwood was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa at Young Harris College in her native state of Georgia and was recognized as the Society's Distinguished Alumna in 2002. She and her husband Garth Brooks now live in Oklahoma. Yearwood has won three Grammy Awards; is a two-time winner of the Country Music Association's female vocalist award, and has also won the Academy of Country Music's top female vocalist award. She is a member of the Grand Ole Opry.
