Internat'l Convention Speaker Visits Center for Excellence

Country music star and cancer survivor Kevin Sharp, who will be a Keynote Speaker at Phi Theta Kappa's 2007 International Convention, was a special guest at the Center for Excellence, Phi Theta Kappa's International Headquarters in Jackson, Mississippi, this week. Sharp will speak on his experiences as a cancer survivor, and will encourage chapters to support the American Cancer Society through Relay For Life. Phi Theta Kappa has twice been honored as the top collegiate contributor to Relay For Life. Chapters have been challenged to raise $10 million for the American Cancer Society by 2018, the Society's centennial. Sharp will sign copies of his book, Tragedy's Gift, following his Convention address. Phi Theta Kappa's 2007 International Convention is scheduled for April 12-14 at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee.
