Login Screen: Provides advisors with access to the Personal Assistant Manager. The Username and Password are the same as your username and password in eMembers.

Forget your login information? Email Headquarters to obtain username and password. Enter the email address Headquarters has on record for you and click the Get Your Username and Password Button (shown below). If the email address is correct, you will receive your Username and Password immediately by email. If the email address does not match, an error will appear on the screen. If you do not know your username and password please call Julie Luckey at extension 3557 or the Helpdesk at extension 3561.

PAM – Personal Assistant Manager

Work Space: The area of the Home Page screen where “Chapter at a Glance” information is listed. When selecting different tasks from the Task List the Work Space will change to contain information related to the task selected.

Home Page: The home page for the Personal Assistant Manager. The Home Page screen is the page the application will return to when you click on the Home icon at top of screen. This will always be the Chapter at a Glance view.

Task List:

Expand Task List – opens the categories to list tasks.

Collapse Task List – closes the task sections showing only the categories of the Task List.

Categories: Individual sections of the Task List. Each category section has tasks listed such as News and Communications with Tasks as sub categories.

Tasks: Listing of functions or actions to be reviewed or completed.

CSV File: (Comma Separated Value) A type of electronic file with a comma between the various fields or columns.

Student ID: Unique number assigned to students by a college.

Electronic File: A type of electronic file with a comma between the various fields or columns.

Dropdown Box: This feature allows users to select data from a list that is displayed by clicking the drop-down arrow and moving the curser to highlight the desired item on the list.

Radio Button: Radio Buttons allow a user to select only one option from a list of alternatives. Selecting a new option will deselect the previous option.

Real Time: When changes are made in PAM, the changes are reflected in the Headquarters database immediately. When changes are made in PAM, the changes are reflected in the Headquarters database immediately.

Wildcard: A symbol used to represent a character or a number of characters when doing a search. In Personal Assistant Manager, the “*” is used. For example, when searching a last name field with S*, a list will display students whose last name begins with S, i.e., Smith, Stone, or Samson.Check Box: Check boxes are used to allow a user to select one or more options. Induction Date: The date chosen for the Induction Ceremony for Phi Theta Kappa members. This date is used as the Induction date for all members accepted into Phi Theta Kappa during the specific open enrollment period for the chapter.

Enrollment Period: A specific period of time chosen by the advisor when students are able to accept membership into Phi Theta Kappa. An enrollment period is chosen based on the dates associated with a semester or academic period. Eligible students cannot accept membership online unless an open enrollment is active at the time.

New Member: A student inducted into Phi Theta Kappa during the current enrollment period. These members may have been submitted through PAM or may have completed the membership application online.

Already Member: A student who was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa prior to the current enrollment period.Does not meet requirements: Students who are not eligible for membership into Phi Theta Kappa during the current enrollment period.

Inductee: A student that has met the requirements to become a member of Phi Theta Kappa, has filled out the membership application, has paid the membership fee and is ready to be submitted to Phi Theta Kappa Headquarters for membership.

Eligible Student: A student who meets all requirements of membership to Phi Theta Kappa based on the records of the college. These students will be invited to accept membership into Phi Theta Kappa.

Deleted: A classification that represents a student who should be removed from the file. A duplicate record is an example of a situation when a student should be deleted.

Passcode: When students complete a membership application online and submit fees online, or simply complete a membership application online, PAM loads the data for each eligible student and a Passcode is generated. This Passcode is the code the student will enter to login in to the membership application process.
