Educational Forums offer an opportunity for you to connect personally with Phi Theta Kappa Headquarters staff. The offerings at NerdNation 2014 cover a wide range of Society programming that can lead to success for your chapter and its members.

Topics exploring Honors in Action, CollegeFish.org and the fifth edition of Phi Theta Kappa’s Leadership Textbook will be offered, in addition to advisor-only sessions that will guide you through ways the Society can help you achieve your chapter's goals.

“Participating in the Educational Forums is a must if you want the full NerdNation Experience,” said Jennifer Stanford, Phi Theta Kappa’s Chief Student Engagement Officer. “With more than 3,500 people in the General Sessions, the Ed Forums are where you’ll be able to talk in a more intimate setting with the Headquarters staff, other expert presenters and, of course, like-minded Phi Theta Kappa members and advisors.”

Approximately 75 forums will be presented during NerdNation 2014. Five rounds of Educational Forums will be held:

  • Round 1: Thursday, April 24, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
  • Round 2: Thursday, April 24, 3-4 p.m.
  • Round 3: Friday, April 25, 8:30-9:30 a.m.
  • Round 4: Saturday, April 26, 10-11 a.m.
  • Round 5: Saturday, April 26, 1:45-2:45 p.m.

The forums are led by Society staff members, chapter advisors and members, four-year college and student development professionals. Their skills are directly related to the forum discussions they are leading, so you know the information you are gaining is solid and sound.
