All-USA Academic Team Nomination Forms Now Available

Nomination forms for the 2006 All-USA Academic Team have been delivered to two-year college presidents or their designated scholarship contacts. All colleges are encouraged to nominate students for this prestigious scholarship program.

Each college campus may nominate two students for the All-USA Academic Team, which annually selects 60 of the nation's most outstanding students for First, Second and Third Teams of 20 members each. The All-USA Academic Team receives extensive feature coverage in USA TODAY; First Team members also are awarded $2,500 cash stipends, medallions and commemorative trophies.

All-USA Academic Team nominees receive additional recognition and scholarships through All-State Team programs in 34 states. The top-scoring nominee in each state will be honored as a New Century Scholar, which carries a $2,000 award from the Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.

Phi Theta Kappa, USA TODAY and the American Association of Community Colleges sponsor the All-USA Academic Team.

Entries should be received at Phi Theta Kappa Headquarters by December 2, 2005.
