Wednesday, December 14, 2011
Phi Theta Kappa Headquarters staff members were recognized for outstanding leadership, dedication and service in recent ceremonies at the Center for Excellence, which also celebrated Society achievements in 2011.
Executive Director Dr. Rod Risley thanked staff for contributing to a banner year for the Society, citing anticipated records in membership acceptance; launch of the resdesigned website; the response to Phi Theta Kappa's college completion agenda; and gains in chapter chartering, scholarship initiatives, social media activity, and gifts.
Receiving the Above and Beyond Award, given for special efforts to benefit Phi Theta Kappa, was a group from various departments who assisted a fellow staff member during an extended illness. Recipients included Lea Ann Bethany, Cheryl Carr, Larry Horn, Anita Loflin, Jason Quick, Saralyn Quinn, Melissa Price and Tom Rowden.
Recognized for landmark years of service, with presentations of pins and gifts, were:
