The Guistwhite Scholarships recognize Phi Theta Kappa members for outstanding academic achievement, leadership accomplishment and engagement in Phi Theta Kappa programs and is designed to assist in the members’ attainment of baccalaureate degrees.
Members may begin applying for this scholarship in October and applications are due in early December each year. An independent team of judges reviews the applications to determine scholarship recipients. Phi Theta Kappa notifies students selected as Guistwhite Scholars in April each year.
The Guistwhite Scholarship honors Phi Theta Kappa International Honorary Member Dr. Jack Guistwhite and his wife, Margaret. Dr. Guistwhite developed the first transfer scholarship designated exclusively for Phi Theta Kappa members.
