Applications for the 2008 Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarships are due February 1. Approximately 50 scholarships for baccalaureate studies may be awarded annually and may cover tuition, living expenses, fees and books. The maximum amount available per student is $30,000. Students must be nominated by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Faculty Representative at their institutions. If your community college does not have a Faculty Representative, visit the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation website for information concerning appointing a faculty member to this position. The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is the largest offered in the United States to community college transfer students. In 2007, 42 of the 50 students who received Jack Kent Cooke transfer scholarships were Phi Theta Kappa members. For questions about this and other scholarships available to Phi Theta Kappa members, contact Director of Scholarship Programs Heather Johnson at 601.984.3560.
