Phi Theta Kappa's 2008 International
Convention, marking the Society's 90th anniversary, will be
held April 3-5 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Online registration will
open January 22. Online rates are $249.00 per person on or before February
29; and $279.00 per person from March 1-14. Downloadable registration
forms for fax or mailing will also be available on the Convention website.
Rates for registering by fax or mail are $279.00 per person until March 14.
After the Convention Registration deadline March 14, persons must register
onsite in Philadelphia at the rate of $299.00 per person.
The
Chapter Officer Leadership Academy is Phi Theta Kappa's premier leadership
training opportunity for chapter officers. The 2008 Chapter Officer Leadership
Academy will take place Wednesday, April 2, just prior to the kickoff of
the 90th International Convention. The Academy offers chapter officers
the chance to develop leadership skills, learn more about Society programming,
and network with fellow officers. Academy facilitators are experienced
advisors, certified in Phi Theta Kappa's Leadership Development Studies
Program. Registration for the all-day event is only $85.00 and includes
the Officer Fellowship Luncheon.
Phi Theta Kappa's Convention
events will be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center and in the Philadelphia
Marriott Downtown. Other official Convention hotels are the
Courtyard
by Marriott and the Crowne
Plaza. All Convention hotels are within easy walking distance
