Looking for a way to increase awareness of Operation Green, the Society's
International Service Program? Want to make a contribution to an effort
that's really going somewhere? Consider a donation to the Trek
Against Trash: The Hike to Keep America Beautiful.
In
March 2008 two Georgians - Jordan and Carlie - began a trek along the Appalachian
Trail from Georgia to Maine (all 2,174 miles of it) to raise money and awareness
about ways to protect our environment. Along the way, they're working with
Keep America Beautiful affiliates in trail communities to raise awareness,
clean up litter, stencil storm drains, and more.
Please consider
a donation
of just one penny per mile - that's $21.74 - to help KAB's mission. Learn more
about the Trek
Against Trash and track Jordan and Carlie's progress
online.
