Louisiana Chapter Shares Life by Hosting Blood Drives
The Alpha Rho Phi Chapter at Bossier Parish Community College in Louisana recently hosted four two-day Life Share Blood Drives on their campus exceeding their goal of 40 units each time. The chapter scheduled the Blood Drives a year in advance, posted the events on the school's weekly and yearly event calendar, e-mailed faculty and staff, and placed signs on campus. While members donated blood and encouraged others to donate, they also spoke with 40-50 students at each drive about membership in Phi Theta Kappa. Well done, Alpha Rho Phi!

Texas Chapter Sees Success in Voter Registration Event
The Alpha Mu Tau Chapter at Collin County Community College in Texas held a voter registration event and a Gubernatorial Debate Watch on the Spring Creek and Preston Ridge Campus to promote Voice Your Vote. Students had the opportunity to complete voter registration applications, gain knowledge of local candidates, and learn about the importance of voting. Volunteers registered with the local Elections Office to serve as deputy voter registrars and to collect registration forms at the drive. Posters were placed on campus and t-shirts were passed out to promote the event. A local radio station and the local Army Recruitment Office came to draw awareness to the project. The event was a tremendous success with a total of 470 people in attendance and 218 people registered to vote. Way to go, Alpha Mu Tau!

Mississippi Chapter to Host State Attorney General
The Upsilon Sigma Chapter at Itawamba Community College in Mississippi conducted a two-day Voice Your Vote event on campus. Members collaborated with the Political Science Club to educate potential voters on the benefits of exercising their right to vote. Three tables were placed at different locations across campus and both organizations helped new voters fill out voter registration applications. A total of 150 students attended the event and 107 were registered to vote. Due to the wide response received during this event, Mississippi State Attorney General Jim Hood will be visiting the Itawamba campus to speak with students and faculty about the upcoming elections. Good work, Upsilon Sigma!
