South Carolina Chapter Inducts 70
The Alpha Zeta Sigma chapter
at Greenville Technical College in Simpsonville, South Carolina
inducted 70 new members into Phi Theta Kappa. Of the 70 students that submitted
their application to be members, 63 participated in the induction ceremony.
The admissions director at nearby Francis Marion University attended
the induction ceremony and spoke to the new members about Phi Theta Kappa
transfer scholarships.
Nebraska Chapter Collects Used
Cell Phones to Support the Troops
The Alpha Tau Tau chapter at
Central Community College in Grand Island, Nebraska is
implementing a new program to benefit soldiers over seas. The chapter is
part of a national campaign to collect cell phones called Cell Phones
for Soldiers. Each cell phone collected goes to pay for a one hour phone
card for a soldier. To date, over 12 million phones have been donated nationally.
