Oklahoma College Scores
Project Graduation Success
The Phi Theta Kappa chapter at
Rose State College in
Oklahoma made their
Project Graduation event a true community activity and, as a result,
collected more than 23,000 books for children!
Chapter officer Gina
Williams worked with a local Marine Reserve Center, which donated the
children's books. Some will be kept for distribution during the Christmas
season. The chapter also received donations of more than 2,600 food items,
many collected in elementary school classrooms. Project Graduation is Phi
Theta Kappa's community service initiative, which uses commencement ceremonies
as a venue to support the efforts to eliminate hunger and illiteracy. Chapters
should submit their online success forms at
www.projectgraduation.org by August 1, 2004.
