Deadline for Gordon, Bennett Awards Changed

The deadline for chapters to submit award entries for the Shirley B. Gordon Awards of Distinction and the Michael Bennett Lifetime Achievement Awards has changed to December 5, 2003. The new deadline applies only to these two award categories, which recognize college presidents and campus CEOs for their support of Phi Theta Kappa. Friday, February 20, 2004, will remain the deadline for all other Hallmark Award entries to be received at Phi Theta Kappa International Headquarters. The earlier deadline for the Gordon and Bennett applications will allow winners in these categories to be notified sooner. Gordon Award winners must attend the International Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to receive their awards. Earlier notification will help ensure attendance. Although Bennett Award winners are not required to attend the Convention, the earlier deadline will ensure that winners are recognized during appropriate campus ceremonies.
