Pinnacle Program Rewards Successful Membership Recruitment

Calling all chapters: Revitalize your chapter through enhanced recruiting, and be recognized for your efforts with awards and even scholarships, through participation in the Pinnacle Scholarship Award Program!

The Pinnacle Scholarship Award Program recognizes Phi Theta Kappa chapters and regions for successfully enhancing their recruitment and orientation strategies, as measured by the number of new members reported to Headquarters in a given year. The program promotes increased awareness of Phi Theta Kappa and is designed to ensure that the benefits of Society membership are fully understood by all eligible students.

Chapters may enroll in The Pinnacle Scholarship Award Program online at www.ptk.org/pinnacle/chapennform.htm.

Now in its third year, the Pinnacle Program has added new levels of recognition.

Pinnacle recognitions include:

  • Pinnacle Chapter - A chapter increasing the number of members reported to Headquarters by at least one student over the previous year will be recognized as a Pinnacle Chapter. Pinnacle Chapter recognitions include a congratulatory letter from Phi Theta Kappa’s Executive Director Rod A. Risley sent to their college presidents, a certificate denoting the chapter’s status and special ribbons to be worn at International Convention.

  • Pinnacle Scholarship Chapter - A chapter increasing the number of inductees over 10 percent of last year or inducting 90 percent of all eligible students will be recognized as a Pinnacle Scholarship Chapter. Pinnacle Scholarship Chapters will receive a $100 scholarship, a congratulatory letter from Executive Director Risley sent to the chapter’s college president, a certificate denoting the chapter’s status and special ribbons to be worn at International Convention.

  • Pinnacle Continued Excellence Chapter - A chapter that has achieved an increase in membership of 10 percent or inducted 90 percent of eligible students for three consecutive years in a row will be recognized as a Pinnacle Continued Excellence Chapter. These awards will be presented for the first time this year. Pinnacle Continued Excellence Chapters will be presented the Pinnacle Obelisk trophy at the 2004 International Convention in Minneapolis, in addition to receiving the $100 scholarship, congratulatory letter to their college president, certificate and Convention ribbons.
