Good as Gold Visibility Campaign
“The new Good as Gold campaign offers endless possibilities for membership
recruitment. By using the informative Membership Recruitment Video, posters
and the redesigned Membership Benefits Brochure, chapters have a simple
and effective way to promote the benefits of Phi Theta Kappa. I encourage
all chapters to incorporate this new visibility campaign for their fall
recruitment. In doing so, prospective members, faculty, administrators
and community leaders will see that membership in Phi Theta Kappa truly
is "Good as Gold!”

Members
“If you hear students talking about Phi Theta Kappa, join the conversation.
It seems to me that people are more likely to accept membership and be
active if they know someone who is already involved in the organization.”

Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship Recipient
“My first attempt at college was a disaster. Years later I enrolled in
Georgia Perimeter College. Community colleges are wonderful for giving
people second chances in life.My scholarship is allowing me to attend
Emory University School of Nursing. The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is
looking for people who have a vision for change and don't accept limitation.
I strongly encourage all to apply.”

Five Star Chapter Development Program
“The Five Star Chapter Development Program has been a great motivating
factor in the Pacific Region. The Program has challenged chapters to set
higher goals each year, to learn more about Phi Theta Kappa and to take
advantage of leadership opportunities.”

Honors Satellite Seminars
“The Satellite Seminars are always thought-provoking and provide attendees
with new and diverse perspectives. This year, we plan to tape the seminars
then spotlight them by hosting campus-wide brown bag lunches as part of
our goal to have a healthier college.”
Zahid

Arizona Regional President, Mesa Community College, Arizona
Five Star Chapter Development Program
“The Five Star Program's College Project gives chapters a wonderful opportunity
to make a difference, as we found out last year. In conjunction with our
Disability Services Department, we worked to bring all of our buildings
up to code in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Students,
the college and the community all benefit from this project.”
