We Challenge You!

Phi Theta Kappa and USA TODAY challenge you to take the Case Study Challenge.

It's easy, it's fun, and it's a great way to learn more about the Honors Study Topic. Just follow these easy steps, and you could be one of four to WIN $500! Winners will also be recognized at the International Convention in Dallas and will have their entries posted on the USA TODAY Collegiate Academic website.

Step One: Read the newspaper regularly. This is the hardest part, but once you develop the habit, you will not want to miss a day!

Step Two: Create a Case Study related to the Honors Study Topic. Let the topic for your Case Study develop over time. As you read, watch for trends. You will notice recurring topics that are suitable for a Case Study. When summarizing the topic, be sure to stay neutral. Remember that your purpose is to educate and share knowledge, not persuade. When posing discussion questions, pretend you are a teacher. Ask open-ended questions that will lead to further study, research, and discussion. Scholarly sources are best, so suggest sources from scholarly journals and books when possible.

Step Three: Submit your entry via email by March 4, 2005. You will receive an email to confirm that your entry has been received by Phi Theta Kappa Headquarters and can be opened.
