Hosting a Regional Meeting?

Here's Help!

If you have taken on the responsibility of hosting or co-hosting a regional meeting, have no fear: Phi Theta Kappa has resources available just for you!

While hosting a regional event will require regular consultation with your Regional Coordinator and Regional Officers, there are some basic guidelines your chapter can follow to ensure a successful conference.

The purpose of any Phi Theta Kappa regional meeting is to provide participants with a deeper understanding as well as instructions on how to implement Phi Theta Kappa programs. If you're planning a Leadership Conference (normally held in the summer or fall), then your conference agenda should focus on helping chapters plan activities and share ideas for the academic year. If you're hosting a regional convention, the focus is generally on regional award presentations and regional officer elections.

Find examples of speaker and workshop topics at Phi Theta Kappa's online Host Chapter Resource Guide at http://www.ptk.org/regions/meetguide/.
