The International Service Program, Conquering Cancer: Continuing the Fight
Phi Theta Kappa's continuing practice of fostering community betterment includes a partnership with a national service agency, currently the American Cancer Society.

The Community College Readership Program
By making newspapers available to college students, Phi Theta Kappa lays the foundation for an informed citizenry.

Voice Your Vote
Voter participation is an essential component in a civically engaged society. Phi Theta Kappa's comprehensive voter awareness campaign, Voice Your Vote, will focus on the Presidential election during the fall of 2004 and then continue to provide information on voter registration and candidates for elected offices.

Project Graduation
Phi Theta Kappa chapters contributed more than 86,000 food items and 91,000 books to combat hunger and illiteracy through collections at commencement exercises in 2004.

Case Study Challenge
Chapters and individual members may use the Case Study Challenge to foster newspaper readership, keep abreast of current events and engage in scholarly research.

Peace Corps
The Peace Corps is actively recruiting community college graduates for service abroad in many areas, including education, health, agriculture, business and information technology.
