On the International Convention:
"Two words come quickly to mind when thinking of International
Convention: excitement and hugs. Our members are awed
by the exhilaration of 4,000 members enjoying the excellent
speakers at the General Sessions, Educational Forums, and
Officer Academies; the celebration of the Society's achievements
and the inspiration to reach higher; and the unveiling of the new
Honors Study Topic and International Service Program."
Pedro Ledezma
Chapter President, San Antonio College
San Antonio, Texas
On the Five Star Chapter Development Program:
"Reaching the Five Star status has helped our chapter keep
a common goal in sight. Not only do we have that status to
maintain but it helps us look back at what we have done right,
and improve on that which we decide needs work. It also gives
our administration more of a reason to support our chapter."

2005 Leaders of Promise Recipient, Central Lakes College
Brainerd, Minnesota
On Leaders of Promise:
"For me, the Leaders of Promise Scholarship is the greatest
honor I have received. The impact of being a Leader of
Promise scholarship recipient is I have more courage to serve
my school and community as well as continue my education.
I have more confidence to get involved in class and school
activities as a leader."
Jeb Blackburn
Chapter Advisor, Tallahassee Community College
Tallahassee, Florida
On Project Graduation:
"Our chapter has participated in Project Graduation for several
years now and I think the greatest thing about the program is it
is a way for the students to help those in need. By taking the
food and books to agencies, our members have met some of the
clients they are helping and that is an experience they will carry
with them the rest of their lives."
