The Alpha Project Commission Report to be Presented

A Convention highlight will be the presentation of The Alpha Project Commission's report, at the Third General Session on Saturday morning, April 22. The Alpha Project, or “TAP: Traditions, Assessment, Progress,” is Phi Theta Kappa's long-range planning initiative, designed to carry the Society forward into the New Millennium. Throughout the year, Phi Theta Kappa members, advisors, college administrators and alumni have contributed their ideas for the Society of the future, through Town Meetings held at regional conferences, through a live Forum, through surveys, and by responding to “Questions of the Week” on the web site. Dr. George Vaughan, Alpha Project Facilitator, and Society Executive Director Rod A. Risley, will present the Commission findings. Dr. Vaughan, a distinguished educator, administrator and author, spent 17 years as a community college CEO. Risley became the Society's second Executive Director in 1985, and has led Phi Theta Kappa through more than a decade of unparalleled growth and development.
