Challenge 2000 Awards To Be Sent To
College Presidents
In April, trophies earned by chapters who accepted the Journey Challenge 2000 and successfully met their goals will be mailed to the presidents of their colleges, for presentation at a college awards day, honors convocation or another appropriate occasion. At press time, 317 chapters had successfully met the Challenge. Three regions, Missouri, Mississippi/Louisiana, and Texas, also met the Challenge and will receive their trophies at the International Convention in Denver, March 29-31. Chapters and regions accepting the Journey Challenge 2000 agreed to review and enhance their recruitment and orientation methods to ensure all eligible students are fully aware of the benefits of membership. The Journey Challenge 2000 officially ended January 31, 2001, the final deadline for chapters to report their members inducted during 2000.
